# Accessibility

Last updated: October 12, 2026

## Our commitment

We want every renter to be able to use IncomeBasedApartments.com, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

## What we've done

- A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
- Clear headings and page structure for screen readers.
- Labels on every form field, with help text where it's useful.
- Visible focus outlines for keyboard users.
- Text and button colors chosen for readable contrast.
- Descriptive text for images, and plain-language content throughout.
- A request form that also works as a single page if scripts don't load.

## Other ways to request research

Can't use our form or receive text messages? Email

texas@incomebasedapartments.com

[mailto:texas@incomebasedapartments.com →](mailto:texas@incomebasedapartments.com)

with your preferred areas, budget, approximate household income, household size, bedrooms, and move timing. We'll help another way and deliver your list in a format that works for you.

## Accessible housing features

Our request form lets you describe accessibility features you need in a home, such as a ground-floor unit, no steps, or a roll-in shower. We ask about features, not medical diagnoses. Each community confirms which features its units actually have.

## Feedback

texas@incomebasedapartments.com

with the page address and what happened. We'll work to fix it and help you in the meantime.
